Scent of Surrender

Honey

Chapter 1: The Offered Hand

The Miami night was an intoxicating cocktail of city lights and ocean salt, the kind that seeps into your skin and stays there long after the tide recedes. Kiana pulled up in her black Mercedes, the leather vison soft against the palm of her hand, and the purr of the engine was music to her ears. She'd been out all night—lounging on someone else's sofa, dancing under neon lights, and breathing in the scent of other women's perfume.

The door clicked locked behind her, and she flicked on the overhead light in the entryway. Trey was already waiting, standing tall in his midnight blue silk robe, the fabric whispering against his thighs. His cologne mingled with the after-shave his man had picked up in St. Tropez—sunshine and dark wood, a heady contrast to her own floral musk.

"Welcome home, Queen," he said softly, stepping back to give her space. The word was a familiar caress, a title she wore proudly even when the crown felt heavy on her brow.

She stowed her clutch on the vanity and sauntered toward him, her heels clicking against the polished wood. Trey backed up against the wall, his eyes locked on hers as she slid her robe off slowly, letting it pool at her feet. The silk clung to her curves, hiding nothing but hinting at everything.

"Put your hands behind your head," she commanded, her voice low and dominant. It was a simple order, yet the tension in his body didn't ease until she stepped right into his personal space. Their hips brushed, and the heat between them was electric.

Trey's fingers curled into the carpet as he obeyed, his knuckles turning white. She ran her thumb over the pulse point at his jaw, feeling his racing heartbeat under his skin. "You've been out late," she said, her tone soft but sharp.

He didn't deny it. "I wanted to check on you, make sure you got home safe."

"Safe enough," she purred, pushing him gently toward the bedroom. "Now lock the door behind you." The instruction was playful and powerful, and he obeyed without hesitation, his mind already racing with anticipation.

She watched him go with predatory fascination, her eyes tracing the lines of his ass as he crossed the room. When the door locked with a soft click, she turned to face the mirror, her reflection staring back at her with sharp clarity. The dress was sheer silk, emerald green, and form-fitting. She wore next to nothing, but the simplicity of the outfit only amplified her seductive presence.
